MPOSC Mandate:

2.01 Mandate: The mandate and purpose of the Corporation (MPOSC) is to provide oil spill response capability and training for all member companies in the event of an actual spill on water. MPOSC is not an oil spill clean-up service but supplies equipment for crude oil containment and recovery under Manitoba conditions.
2.02 Membership: The membership of MPOSC is open to all operators of wells or oil and gas facilities located in Manitoba as defined in the Oil & Gas Act. Eligible parties may apply for membership and pay the annual fee as assessed from time to time by the Committee next following, or until their successors are appointed.
2.03 Training: It is the responsibility of every member company to ensure that they have a representative within their company that is trained and capable of responding to an event that requires the spill equipment.
